Due to consistent & solid growth across this corporate customer base, we are looking to develop and enhance our market profile, increase our presence in new sectors & industries, and fulfil our ambition to be the “No 1” for IT hardware & software quotes in Ireland. To achieve our potential we are looking for a New Business Development Manager to join our established, successful & growing team & help us achieve this mission

You will be supported in this role by a Senior Marketing Manager & a sales support administrator who are committed to helping you build our brand, market presence & customer base, in the Irish market.

As New Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:

Identifying new business opportunities in new & existing markets & sectors;

Proactively identifying, building & nurturing relationships with new customers;

Coordinating meetings (formal & informal) with new business contacts;

Influencing new customers to give ITQuotes an opportunity to quote for new business;

Acting as a professional & credible brand ambassador for ITQuotes in the market;

Attending relevant conferences & networking events to meet new contacts;

Working with Senior Marketing Manager to create a plan of activity to support new business growth;

Planning, tracking & following through on all new business development activity;

Seamless transfer of new business accounts & relationship to an established Corporate Account Manager.

  • Customer: Proven ability to identify new business opportunities / will do whatever it takes to create & develop new customer relationships / will go the extra mile / thinks creatively in securing new customers / shows a genuine interest in resolving the needs of the new customer
  • Commercial: Proactive sales approach to sourcing new customers / proven ability to convert new business leads to loyal customers / achieve maximum impact for your business development efforts / take strategic approach to new customer acquisition
  • IT Software: Competent using MS Office: Word, Excel / CRM systems
  • Communication: Confident calling new & unknown customers / articulate & clear communicator / able to ask the right questions to understand customer needs / really good listener / proven ability to influence / friendly but professional / well groomed / ability to tell ITQuotes story with passion, confidence & conviction
  • Inate: Self-motivated / very organised / works smart / great listener / able to ask probing questions / tenacious / takes pride in your work / loves developing new business pipeline

Requirements:

  • Experience working in new business development in IT Hardware or Software;
  • Role involves minimum 20 hours out of the office meeting potential customers
  • Proven track record converting new business leads into customers
  • Tenacious, self-motivated, ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Methodical & well organised, takes pride in your work, good attention to detail
  • Natural networker who enjoys building new relationships
  • Full driving licence essential
  • Might suit someone with the following sector experience: Hardware / Software / Pharmaceutical
  • Experience selling a brand, being client facing, creating new business opportunities
